So, what is unlocking?
Often when you purchase a phone it comes locked into the network you buy it on so that you may only use a sim card provided by them. You may find that this network is not for you (you may not get a good reception or perhaps you have found a much cheaper network offering a better deal for your money) Unlocking removes the lock that ties you into the original network allowing you to put in any sim of your choice (If you want to use the "3" network in your mobile please check that it is compatible before having it unlocked as "3" sims will only work in 3g enabled phones)

IF YOUR PHONE IS BARRED/BLACKLISTED THEN UNLOCKING IT WILL NOT ALLOW IT TO WORK AGAIN!
Common causes for a handset to be barred or blacklisted would be if it had been reported lost, stolen, or you haven't paid your contract bill. Please do not bring us any barred/blacklisted phones to unlock as it is a waste of our time and your money.
